Happy Birthday Caroline!!!
You're 12 now! It's time to start thinking about getting a new job, where you are going to college, what you will do with your life, what kind of car you are going to buy, and most importantly... What kind of dress will you wear for your wedding?
Using one of her birthday presents, Caroline (with Sara's gracious help) created this culinary spectacle. It has strawberry ice cream inside!!!

Of course, in spite of having a fabulous birthday party at The Pointe at South Mountain resort with all her best friends, she still made out like a bandit! She got some really nice gifts!
The resort had three water slides, a bunch of pools (including a wave-pool), and a "lazy river" that Maggie and I lazed upon while on tubes. It was really fun for the adults (seriously). Maggie, Ali and myself all commented that this one a GREAT idea (that Caroline had).

Does it say BRUCE along the side of the cake?
Yes. The girls put "Mom" on it, and either Maggie said something like, "I'll bet Bruce would like it if you put his name on it, too", or Caroline was in an expansive mood that night. Remember, that's not her birthday cake, it's a cake they made using a birthday present (seen behind the cake).
